GINCO T & T – Save the date

GINCO T & T pilot course in December 2013 in Alden Biesen

The GINCO T & T consortium is currently working on the development of a modular training course aimed at enhancing those eight competence areas that had been identified as being important for Grundtvig course providers.

The course will be organised in Alden Biesen, Belgium on December 9-15, 2013. Up to 22 people will be invited to take part.

GINCO Tools & Training

GINCO Tools & Training has launched a survey amongst Grundtvig in-service training (IST) course organisers as to define and prioritise the competences needed to organise a quality Grundtvig IST course. They were also asked to define their training needs. Based on the results of this survey, the priorities set by the Lifelong Learning Programme and based on the principles of the EU Commission study on ‘Key Competences for Adult Learning Professionals’ the GINCO T&T team has come up with 41 competences spread over eight competence areas.

RIVER Partnermeeting and LEVEL5 Workshop

2012 is the European Year of Active Ageing. Along these lines, the project RIVER aims to promote active-aging senior volunteering with a focus on validating the development of personal, social and organisational competences during the volunteering activity.

From the 7.11. to 9.11.2012 both the partners of the RIVER project and some of the trainers that will pilot the RIVER methodology met in Rome. Main reason for the meeting was a 2-day training workshop on the LEVEL5 based RIVER validation methodology.
